Two persons were killed and as many injured today in a collision between two vehicles near Marahiya crossing in Kaimur district, a police officer said.
The mishap took place as a pick up van and a truck collided head-on as a result of which two occupants of the ill-fated van died on the spot and as many others sustained injuries, Deputy Superintendent of Police Suresh Kumar said.
The victims were identified as Bhagwan Tiwari (driver) and Ramapati Devi (60), he said,
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the injured persons admitted to a Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Durgawati.
