Two labourers electrocuted to death, 1 injured in Raj

Two labourers were electrocuted to death and another was injured when the crane on which they were working touched a high-voltage electric wire in Rajpura village here.

The deceased labourers were identified as Ramdayal Bheel (35), resident of Badora village in Baran district and Badal Bheel (25), resident of Jhabua district in Madhya Pradesh, said Station House Officer (SHO) of Dabi police station, Madan Lal Khatik.

Another local labor Trilok Nayak, 21, sustained burn injuries in the incident, he said.

The three labourers were engaged in mining work on a crane in a stone mine this afternoon when the crane came in contact with a 11,000 KV electric line passing over the mining area.
 

The bodies have been sent for the postmortem which will be conducted tomorrow while the injured labourer is undergoing treatment at Maharao Bhim Singh hospital in Kota.

No case has been lodged so far in this connection as the investigation is still going on, the SHO added.
