Two Maoists held, poppy crop destroyed

The security forces today arrested two hardcore Maoists and destroyed poppy crop under a forest area in Bihar's Jamui district, the police said.
Carrying out a combing-cum-search operation in Gurmaha forest, the security forces nabbed two ultras, one of whom was identified as Madan Koda, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Munger range, Sudhanshu Kumar said.
Koda was wanted in a number of cases related to naxal violence in the district and adjoining areas, he said.

A large quantity of items like drugs, blankets and naxal literature, was recovered from the Maoists' den, the DIG said.
