Two monks mowed down by truck in Guj

The victims, both monks, identified as Nan Shekhar Vijay Maharaj and Hastgiri Maharaj, died on the spot after being knocked down by a speeding truck opposite a farmhouse on the national highway no. 8 near Nabipur village in Bharuch, they said.

The driver fled from the spot after the accident, police said adding they had launched a search for him.
