Two private city hospitals awarded

Two private city hospitals --Sir Ganga Ram and St Stephen's -- have been conferred the Award of Excellence in teaching for (Diplomate of the National Board) DNB Programme by the National Board of Examination (NBE)on the occasion of its 18th convocation.

Sir Ganga Ram hospital has been running the largest post graduate teaching programme in 38 specialities (largest in India) for almost three decades with more than 80 per cent passing rate of DNB trainees .

Dr Anupam Sachdeva, chairman of Academics also received the DNB teacher of Excellence Award. Three DNB students were also awarded DNB Gold Medals.

"We give lot of importance to teaching, academics and research. The hospital runs India's largest post graduate teaching programme," said Dr D S Rana, chairman(Board of Management)and Department of Nephrology.
 

St Stephen's Hospital which was established 1885, it has a capacity of about 600 beds, and is a superspeciality tertiary care hospital offering care in all specialties and most superspecialities.

The Hospital is also running training programmes in various courses affiliated to the NBE for almost two decades. It also has an excellent pass percentage of DNB trainees in last 10 DNB Final examinations.
