Unable bear the humiliation of having failed in the Plut two exaimnations, the results of which were declared today, a teen age girl committed suicide in her house near here while another girl who set herself ablaze is struggling for life, police said.
The 17-year old girl, a resident of Talakunda on the outskirts of the city committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of her house after she came to know that she has failed in the examination, they said.
Another 17-year-old girl from Upathalai was hospitalised with 80 per cent burns after she doused her body with kerosene and set herself ablaze.
Her condition was said to be critical, police added.
