Two teenagers drown in river in UP

Two teenagers drowned in a river in Ketu village of neighbouring Shamli district, police said today.

The incident occurred yesterday when Alim (15) and Iliyas (14) had gone to take a bath in the river, SHO, Jhinjhana police station R N Singh said.

12-year-old Junaid who was also accompanying them was rescued, he said, adding, the bodies of Alim and Iliyas were recovered.
