Two UPLA militants nabbed

Two United Peoples' Liberation

Army (UPLA) militants have been apprehended by security forces in Assam's Karbi Anglong district.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the Police and Army launched a joint operation at Hamren in West Karbi Anglong last night and apprehended the duo, a hardcore and a linkman, a defence spokesman said today.

The UPLA cadre has been identified as Pratap Hanse and the linkman as Julias Engti alias Makoi, sources added.
