Two women killed in road mishap

Two women were today killed when their autorickshaw was hit by a truck near Paldi circle area of the city, police said.

"The women have been identified as -- Daahi and Rasila -- both residents of Sukhramnagar in Gomtipur. They succumbed to their injuries at a hospital," police said.

The truck was on its way from V S hospital towards the busy Paldi circle when it knocked down the autorickshaw.

A case has been registered, they said, adding that the truck driver was nabbed.
