Two youths, jawan drown in Una

Two natives and a jawan were killed in two separate incidents of drowning in Himachal Pradesh's district, police said today.

Superintendent of Police told that the youths had come in different groups with their friends to visit Bangana area and they jumped into several feet deep waters yesterday to take bath without realising the depth and lost their lives.

The two drowned youths from adjoining have been identified as (31) of Jalandhar and (27) of district, Bangana of Police (Head Quarter) said.

Kalia drowned in in Mandli area near and Singh drowned in reservoir near Bharmouti area, he said.

While the man (23) drowned in near Budhan area in the district.

A native of Sakroh village in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh, Dhiman was posted with and was on leave for few days, Verma added.

The bodies of Kalia and Dhiman have been recovered and handed over to their family members after conducting post-mortem at a local hospital, he said

However, efforts are on to trace the body of Satbir, he added.
