UttarakhandChief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat today expressed grief over the death of Army jawan Pawan Singh Sugra who was killed in Pakistani firing in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.
The 21-year-old jawan, who succumbed to injuries yesterday, hailed from Uttarkhand's Sugri village in Pithoragarh district.
"Yet another son of Uttarakhand has made the supreme sacrifice to protect the country's frontiers," the chief minister said.

Saluting the jawan's valour, he said, "The state government will extend all its support to his family and prayed for fortitude to them to bear the loss."
Uttarakhand Congress chief Pritam Singh also expressed grief at the jawan's death and said the country will always remember his martyrdom.
