U'khand governor launches 'Green Doon' campaign

Uttarakhand Governor Aziz Qureshi today planted a Rudraksa sapling in the Raj Bhavan premises to launch "Green Doon" campaign.

At a time when mushroom growth of the concrete jungle in cities is destroying all greenery tree plantation is the only way out, he said on the occasion.

The campaign has been jointly organised by St Joseph's Academy Alumni Association and E-Rotary.

Appreciating the effort of the two organisations, he said it feels good to see youngsters associated with the campaign.

The governor expressed hope that the campaign would go beyond Dehradun to all the places in the state.
