Undertrial prisoner dies in Muzaffarnagar jail

A 30-year-old undertrial prisoner died in the district jail here due to illness.

Arshad, who was undergoing treatment in the jail hospital, died last evening due to illness, Jailor A K Singh said.

An inquiry has been ordered into the matter, he added.

Arshad was jailed in a theft case on December 26, 2014, he said.
