Undertrial prisoner escapes in Rajasthan

An undertrial prisoner managed to escape from a hospital by hoodwinking policemen in the district in the wee hours today.

Neeraj Parmar, who was under judicial custody for nearly a week, was admitted to the sadar hospital here.

Three policemen, including a head constable, were on duty in the hospital but the prisoner managed to escape from the ward, SP Rajesh Singh said.

A case has been registered with Kotwali police station in this regard, he said.
