Uttar Pradesh Congress today expelled its former state general secretary Shyamlal Pujari for six years after he alleged that party national general secretary Madhusudan Mistry had taken money from candidates to give Lok Sabha tickets.
"Mistry is taking Rs 50 lakh for giving Congress tickets," Pujari, who resorted to protest at party office here told mediapersons.
Pujari had reportedly staked a claim for party ticket from Mohanlalganj Lok Sabha seat in Lucknow but the ticket was given to Narendra Gautam.

Later, Congress state president Nirmal Khatri expelled him from the party for six years.
"On recommendations of chairman of party disciplinary committee Ramkrishna Dwivedi, Khatri has expelled Pujari," party state vice president Satyadeo Tripathi said.
