UP: Contractor found dead in PWD office

A contractor was found dead in the Public Works Department office here on Wednesday, police said.

Awadhesh Kumar Srivastava had gone to the Uttar Pradesh PWD's chief engineer's office to receive a payment for his contract work, they said.

Later his body with gunshot injuries was found inside the officer's chamber, police said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and an investigation is on, they said.
