UP doctors demand passage of Medical Protection bill

Members of a medical association today met Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Ahmad Hasan and demanded the Medical Protection bill to be tabled in the ongoing Assembly session.

A delegation of members of Provincial Medical Services Association (PMSA) led by its President Ashok Kumar Yadav also apprised the minister about the March 5 episode at the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya hospital in Varanasi in which doctors and personnel were allegedly attacked.

Yadav alleged that effective action was not taken against the guilty by the local administration.
