UP double murder: Locals block highway, Kandhla SHO shifted

The Delhi-Saharanpur highway near Kandhla was blocked by irate locals, who demanded an immediate arrest of the culprits behind the double murder case of two brothers here.

The angry locals had blocked the Delhi-Saharanpur highway near Kandhla yesterday against the killing of two brothers, Circle Officer N P Singh said.

Two brothers, Mahabir Singh (50)and Pravesh Kumar (45), were allegedly shot dead by unknown assailants at Fatehpur village under Kandhla police station in the district on Friday.

The Circle Officer said that the police is investigating the incident and will nab the culprits soon.

Meanwhile, the SHO of Kandhla police station Rajkumar Sharma was shifted and Naresh Kumar has been appointed in his place, the official added.
