UP govt appoints lawyer D K Singh as addl advocate general

The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has appointed senior advocate D K Singh as its additional advocate general to represent the state in the Supreme Court, officials said.
Singh is a seasoned lawyer handling constitutional, criminal, tax, civil, and service matters, they said.
With this appointment, UP will be represented by three additional advocates general in the SC.
Earlier, during the Samajwadi Party government, the state had seven additional advocates general.
