UP govt to honour Commonwealth Games medal winners from state

On the festive occasion of Eid, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today announced his government would honour all sportspersons from the state winning medals in the ongoing Commonwealth Games at Glasgow.

The state government would also honour first five place holders in the Combined Pre-Medical Test and bear all their educational expenses, an official spokesman said here.

"The Chief Minister has announced his government will honour all sportspersons from the state winning medals in the Commonwealth Games. They will also be given cash rewards," the spokesman said.
