Ruling BJD and opposition Congress corporators hurled missiles and had verbal exchanges over the demand for discussion on alleged faulty identification of beneficiaries in the town to get digitised ration cards for subsidised food grains under Notational Food Security Act.
Seeking an immediate discussion on the matter, the opposition members alleged that many genuine beneficiaries were left out in the list during the monthly council meeting of civic body.
The ruling BJD members counter-labelled the Congress members as "corrupt".
