Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said American firms will invest Rs 2,400 crore in the state, in sectors like information technology and construction.
Out of the Rs 2,400 crore proposed investment, American IT companies will invest Rs 1,000 crore generating over 10,000 jobs.
Addressing reporters here after returning from a five-day trip to the US, Chouhan said efforts were made to create employment opportunities in the state.
Discussions were held with 25 companies while 100 firms participated in the Investment Summit, Chouhan said.
