US dollar ends sharply higher against the rupee

The US dollar ended sharpy higher against the rupee at Rs 60.55/56 per dollar and the Pound Sterling also finished higher at Rs 102.15/17 per pound at the close of the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market today.
