US national with satellite phone detained

A US national was today detained by authorities at the airport here after he was found in possession of a satellite phone.

David Paul was scheduled to take a flight to Mumbai this evening.

He was found carrying a satellite phone in his hand baggage by CISF personnel during routine screening exercise.

He has been detained and further questioning is on, airport authorities said.

Paul arrived here on February 26.
