Uttarakhand Congress ready for probe into Harish Rawat's assets

Responding to the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP's) demand of an investigation into the assets of former Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat, the Congress party said they are ready for any kind of probe and a "non-political" commission can be set up for the purpose.

Former minister Pritam Singh, and Surendra Kumar, advisor to the former chief minister, told mediapersons here, that the party is ready for a probe into the assets Rawat earned during his tenure in office.

They said that the Uttarakhand High Court chief justice should be requested to set up a five-member "non-political" probe commission to look into the matter.
