"High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens says her character in the upcoming live performance musical "Grease: Live" is a "toughie".
The 26-year-old actress will play Betty Rizzo on Fox's live action performance, an adaptation of the 1978 musical-romantic film "Grease", reported Entertainment Weekly.
"She's deep, you know. She's a toughie. So I'm excited to kind of sink my teeth in to that. That's a character I've never played before so it'll be fun and a challenge."

Hudgens says she will revisit the original film, which starred John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Stockard Channing, and Jeff Conaway.
"As we get closer there will be a bit more Grease re-watching going on! I feel like I know Grease backwards and forwards. It's just one of those iconic movies that I've seen over and over and over again."
The film is based on Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs' 1971 musical of the same name about two lovers in a 1950s high school.
Julianne Hough, Keke Palmer, Aaron Tveit and Carlos PenaVega are also signed on for the performance, which debuts on January 31.
