New Horizon Educational Institution today said it has felicitated 27 Veer Naris (war widows) of Indian Army by presenting them a cheque of Rs 2.5 lakhs each.
Parents of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan (Mumbai terror attack martyr) and Bhandarkar wife of Lt.Col. Bhandarkar (Kargil martyr) were also presented cheque as part of its 'Veer Vandana' initiative during 'SARGAM 2016', the annual state level inter-collegiate fest, New Horizon said in a release.
Major General Nijjar, General Officer Commanding of Karnataka and Kerala sub-areas and Naib Subedar,Sanjay Kumar, Param Vir Chakra awardee graced the occasion as the chief guest and guest of honor.
