Vigilance Investigation Bureau today allegedly caught red handed a dairy department officer in Bihar's Arwal district while accepting bribe and arrested him.
VIB sources said a trap was laid to arrest the officer following complaints by a resident of Rupsagar Bigha and was caught red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 for releasing government subsidy for a scheme related to integrated cow wealth development.
The complainant had said the officer was demanding Rs 20,000 from him to release the government subsidy but had negotiated and the amount was settled at Rs 10000.
This is the ninth such incident and VIB has arrested 10 government officers have been arrested on bribery charges.
