An 'administrator' and three members of a 'WhatsApp' group were arrested for allegedly posting objectionable contents, but later released on bail by a court in Latur district.
Yesterday, police in Chakur tehsil of Latur district in Marathwada had arrested the administrator and three other members of the social messaging service 'WhatsApp' group after noticing objectionable content, including video clips posted on the group chat.
A police officer from Chakur police station told PTI that those arrested include Santosh Barche, Rajkumar Telange, Amol Somwanshi and Manoj Lavhrale.
They were produced in a local court today which granted them bail, the officer said, adding that the four were arrested under various sections of IPC and IT Act.
