Wheat crop damaged

Wheat crop was damaged when a

fire broke out in a field in Khodsama village and spread to two other villages in Shamli district.

Tehsildar Madenlal Rathor of Unn Tehsil said the yesterday's fire incident has affected 16 farmers in Khodsama, Balla Majra, and Toda villages.

Rohtash, a farmer said the fire started in a field in Khodsama and soon spread to other fields.

A revenue department team has been sent to the villages to estimate losses, Rathor said.
