Woman allegedly beaten to death by brother-in-law in Jaipur

A woman was allegedly beaten to death by her brother-in-law in presence of her son over some property dispute at Jairampura, near here, police said today.

The deceased has been identified as Phuli Devi, over 40 years, the Harmara police SHO Vikram Singh said.

The deceased's son Rakesh Jat lodged an FIR against his uncle Gopal Lal Jat for attacking his mother by kicks and blows, and stick at the house situated in their farm land last night, police said quoting the FIR.

The woman was rushed to a private hospital but she succumbed to internal bleeding and injuries, police said.
 

A case under section 302 (murder) of IPC was lodged against the accused. Police is waiting for post-mortem report to initiate probe and arrest the accused, the SHO said.

The deceased's husband was out of the village when the incident occurred.
