Woman alleges sexual abuse by neighbour

A woman today alleged that she had been sexually abused for six years by her neighbour, an assistant engineer with Tamil Nadu Electricity Board at Valparai in the district.

In her complaint, the 24-year-old woman said she had become friends with the man, which turned into love and to a physical relationship in the hope they would get married.

However, he started avoiding her whenever she raised the issue of tying the nupital knot, following which she decided to file a complaint, police said.
