A woman constable was found dead at her residence here under mysterious circumstances, the police said.
The deceased, identified as Anita Chand (30), was found hanging at her bedroom this morning. Her husband, who stays in the same official quarter in Sector-13, informed the police.
The constable was immediately taken to IGH by her husband Santosh Bit, who works as teacher in the local Delhi Public School.
Chand, who hails from Balasore, was married two years ago.
"Her body was found hanging and was taken to the hospital. We are waiting for the arrival of her parents. Once we get their version, then only we can proceed with our investigation," P K Rout, DSP, Zone 1, said.
The Police said she was on leave for the last two months and had left behind a one-year-old baby daughter.
