Woman, daughter thrown in river

A woman and her

three-year-old daughter were allegedly thrown in the river Ghagra by their relatives in Turtipar area, police said today.

Meena was her daugther were thrown in the river yesterday by brother-in-laws--Dharmendra and his brother Gudhai, police said.

While Meena was saved by locals, her daughter is still missing.

The incident was stated to be a fallout of love marriage of Meena, a Dalit, with Pramod Gupta, who is brother of the accused.

A case in this regard has been registered in Ubhaon police station.
