Woman, five children drown as boat capsizes

A woman and her five children drowned when their boat today capsized in a lake in Ramnagar area here, police said.

The incident took place this morning when Pannu Mallah's wife Gyanwati was crossing Bhaghar Jheel near Chinpurwa village with her five children in the boat, which capsized, they said.

Gyanwati and her five children- Khushboo (10), Sonu (8), Priyanka (6), Anand (4) and Sipahilal (1 years) drowned in the incident.

Bodies of all of them were later fished out from the lake.
