A 54-year-old woman was found strangled to death in her house in Ramesh Nagar area of west Delhi last evening, police said today.
Before informing police, the family had rushed the woman to a doctor who declared her brought dead. Only after returning home, her son informed the police.
Deepa Tuteja's body was lying on the bed and her dupatta tied tightly around her neck.
The victim is the wife of a businessman Jagdish Tuteja. The family lives on the first floor of a three-storey building.
The occupants of the house have claimed they noticed no one suspiciously entering or exiting the building during the probable time of the incident.
The maid of the house arrived at around 3:30 pm and found the woman lying dead on the bed. She informed the victim's son.
A case has been registered in this regard.
