Woman hammers husband to death over drinking habits

A 49-year-old woman hammered her husband to death during a scuffle at her residence in Rampuri area here, police said today.

The incident took place late yesterday night. The woman, identified as Shanta Devi, surrendered before police and was later arrested, SHO Bhanu Pratap said.

Shanta told police her husband Sriram Sharma (54) was alcoholic and used to fight with her frequently and that's why she killed him.
