Woman immolates self, three daughters in UP

A woman allegedly set herself ablaze along with her three minor daughters in Gyanpur area here, police said today.

Poonam Pandey (30) immolated herself along with her three daughters -- Gudia (6), Minni (4) and eight-month-old Ruhi -- last evening in Khemaipur village, Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar Rai said.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, he said.

The reason behind her extreme step is not known yet, the SP said.
