A 57-year-old woman was killed and her son injured in an attack by unidentified robbers who barged into their house in the early hours today, police said.
The thieves entered the house of Mithilesh, a widow around 1 AM. They forced her to give money and also beat her up, they said.
When Shubham (28) heard his mother screaming, he rushed to her room. The thieves attacked him as well following which he became unconscious. After he regained senses, he found that his mother was dead, they said.
Proper information regarding the incident can be ascertained after Shyam's health stabilises, police said.
