A 61-year-old woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her daughter-in-law in December last year, following which the accused along with her paramour has been arrested, police said today.
Sita Devi was murdered on the intervening night of December 6 and December 7 in Mandi Ramdas area falling under Govind Nagar police station.
The murder was committed by the daughter-in-law with the help of her paramour, identified as Vinay, as the victim objected to their relationship, Dy SP Ajai Pal Sharma said.
The woman admitted to her crime after she was arrested, he said, adding, the police are trying to nab Vinay.
