Woman raped by neighbour

The woman, who was deserted by her husband, lodged a complaint with the police that she was allegedly gagged, dragged from her house to a field and raped by the accused last night, police said.

According to the complaint, the man entered her house when she was sleeping in a room with her mother.

This morning, the woman told a few locals about the incident who caught the accused and beat him before handing him over to the police.

She has undergone a medical test and the results are awaited, sources said.
