Woman raped by neighbour in Punjab

A 40-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her neighbour when she was alone at home in Marar village near here, police said today.

The victim, wife of a truck driver, last night lodged a complaint with police stating that her neighbour Ghoni, forcibly entered the house and raped her when her husband was not present, police said.

A case in this connection has been registered and the accused is absconding, they said.
