A 23-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a neighbour and blackmailed after making a video of the act in Budhana town of the western Uttar Pradesh district, police said today.
The accused, identified as Tinu, is on the run.
The woman filed a complaint with the police yesterday alleging that the accused sexually assaulted her and threatened to put a video of the act on social media.
Police inspector Jai Bhagwan Yadav said a case has been registered and efforts were on to nab the accused.
