Woman teacher booked for beating girl students

A woman teacher of a government school has been booked for allegedly beating up girl students for not completing homework in Lijwana Kala village here, police said today.

The teacher yesterday thrashed the girl students of Class

VII with a stick and then made them do sit-ups during which some of them fainted too, Julana police station SHO Balwan Singh said.

The girls were shifted to Julana community health centre from where they were released in the evening, he said.

On the complaint of victims' parents, a case has been registered against the accused teacher, the SHO said.

A probe is on in the matter.
