Measures such as reducing cost of cultivation, improving marketing facilities and construction of godowns would help in increasing farmers' income, Union Rural Development Secretary Amarjeet Sinha said today.
Addressing a workshop here, he also said sectors allied to agriculture would also help in rising incomes for farmers, according to a Telangana government release.
The workshop was on policy coordination of agriculture and rural employment scheme MGNREGA to increase farmers' income.
Telangana Chief Secretary S K Joshi explained about the investment support scheme, insurance scheme and other initiatives of the state government to increase farmers' income.
