World Space Week-2017 inaugurated at Regional Science Centre

Director of National Institute of Technology, Calicut, Dr Shivaji Chakravorti today inaugurated the 'World Space Week-2017' here.

The theme of the week-long event this year is 'Exploring New Worlds in Space'.

United Nations has declared every year from October 4 to 10as World Space Week, a release from the RSC said today.

Dr V R Lalithambika, distinguished scientist of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Thiruvananthapuram, who was the chief guest, delivered a lecture on "Reaching out from Planet Earth" on the occasion.

Later, about 130 students took part in an interactive session with the scientist.
