The Western Railway (WR) will run special trains from Mumbai and Ahmedabad to clear the extra passenger rush during festival Ganesh Chaturthi.
These trains would run from stations Mumbai Central, Bandra Terminus and Ahmedabad to destinations Mangalore, Karmali and Madgaon.
Special train Mumbai Central-Mangalore weekly special will run from Mumbai Central station on August 23 and August 30, at 11.15 pm and reach Mangalore at 7.30 pm, the next day.

From Mangalore, it will depart from the station at 10.30 pm on August 24 and August 31 and reach Mumbai Central at 6.25 pm, the next day.
Bandra (T)-Karmali tri-weekly special train will run from August 20 to September 4.
It will depart from Bandra Terminus at 11.35 pm on August 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, September 1 and 3, and arrive at Karmali at 3 pm the next day. From Karmali, it will run at 8.30 pm and reach Bandra the next day at 11.05 am.
Mumbai Central-Madgaon (bi-weekly) will run from Mumbai Central at 12.45 pm on every Monday and Wednesday between from August 21 and September 4. It will reach Madgaon at 3.50 am, the next day.
Ahmedabad-Karmali special train will leave from the Ahmedabad station at 4 pm on every Monday and Thursday and arrive at Karmali at 3 pm, the next day.
It is scheduled to run on August 21, 24, 28, 31 and September 4, 2017.
From Karmali, it will run at 8.30 pm on every Tuesday and Friday and will reach Ahmedabad at 6.30 pm, the next day.
Bookings for these trains will open from July 15 at all PRS counters and IRCTC website.
