Youth arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl

Police today arrested a 20 years old youth for allegedly raping a minor girl in suburban Sakinaka area.

The accused, Aarif Raien, a resident of Govandi, worked in Kaju Pada in Sakinaka where the victim lived, and they knew each other.

Last night he abducted the girl -- who is 14 years old -- and raped her, police said.

He was arrested from near his house this afternoon, said senior police inspector A Dharamadhikari.
