Youth gets life-term for rape, murder of minor girl

A court here today sentenced a youth to life imprisonment for raping and murdering a 10-year-old girl.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Manoj Kumar also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 on Farukh after holding him guilty.

According to government lawyer Javed Ali, the girl was strangulated to death after being raping by the accused at Issophr village under Kairana police station in Shamli district on November 9, 2012.
