Youth killed by unidentified persons

A 25-year-old man was bludgeoned to death by unidentified assailants in Deogaon area, police said here today.

Prem Bahadur Ram was attacked while he was sleeping at his house in Domanpur Chewar village late last night, it said.

He died while being taken to Varanasi for treatment, police said, adding, the body has been sent for postmortem.

Agitated with the incident, local residents blocked the Azamgarh-Varanasi road, which was cleared after two hours.
